IT IS shameful and appalling that so much public time and money was wasted by the Clerk and certain members of Clavering Parish Council in hounding Cllr Abrahams, who has spent the whole of his adult life working for the benefit of the community.
It was as if a misguided policeman had prosecuted a motorist with the full rigour of the law for going at 31mph in a 30mph limit and spent a whole day in court only to find that the magistrates imposed no fine or other sanction.
There was no sense of proportion or reasonableness, let alone judgment, in the whole affair. The clerk and councillors concerned should consider their position.
