THOSE of us who have bothered to consult the NATS site will know that for some inexplicable reason, claimed to be for the benefit of local communities, a large number of the proposed takeoff routes run right over Saffron Walden.
Why, when there are other far less densely populated areas available, should they impose noise on a small urban type locality?
One point which has not yet been given attention is that of TV reception, colour shifting, pixelating etc. which already takes place far too often. Combine the weak digital signal in this area with frequent aircraft transits at low altitude and decent TV will be a memory.
