MAY I please thank those who voted for me in the Saffron Walden Audley Ward of Uttlesford District Council elections.
Turnout increased by some 25 per cent, but my votes went down about 14 per cent.
It was interesting to note that where there were other candidates apart from Conservatives and Liberal Democrats the clear effect was to reduce the Conservative majority over the Liberal Democrats.
I was not bitten by a dog this time, but a lady told me I obviously likedmy dinners!
