Saffron Walden optician eyes another year’s success

A SAFFRON Walden optician celebrated its first birthday on Saturday.

Joined by town mayor, Cllr Bob Eastham, staff at the Specsavers store in Hill Street threw a party for customers to mark the milestone, complete with a luxury cake and free goody bags. Commemorating all things green, the staff also donned green fancy dress to add to the fun.

Store director Tania Jenkinson said: “We had a really great day and the store was a vision in green with balloons and staff donning an array of green fancy dress.

“The mayor joined us to celebrate and we would very much like to thank the community for being so supportive to us – here is to as much success in the next year to come.”
