AS MY year as mayor of Saffron Walden is drawing to a close, I would like to take this opportunity of saying a very big and very public thank you to all the volunteers who have helped me during the year.
You have given up many hours and even whole days to help at the various Sustainability Saturdays in Saffron Walden Town Hall.
I am extremely grateful to each and every one of you for your commitment and your willingness.
By talking about your own experiences of becoming more sustainable, and discussing with other local people how they too can take steps to reduce their impact on the environment, you have made a great contribution to saving the planet.
