A SCHEME to help the people of Essex get out and discover the gems that are available on the doorstep has been launched.
Visit Essex has linked with some of the county’s top attractions, hotels and restaurants to produce a ‘money-off’ booklet.
In celebration of the Olympic year, the ‘Live Local, Love Local’ vouchers will feature savings of at least 20.12 per cent at over 50 different venues. Places to visit include Layer Marney Tower, Barleylands, Old MacDonald’s Farm, Lee Valley Park Farms, Colne Valley Railway, RHS Garden Hyde Hall, Hedingham Castle and many more.
They will be valid until September 2012 and available to pick up at selected newsagents, tourism information centres and libraries.
