A fashion show at Fanny and Frank, the dress shop in Saffron Walden, has raised £800 for the charity Home-Start, which helps families with young children.
The event on Thursday, October 6 had eight volunteer models presenting six scenes, showing casual wear, jeans, day dresses, business wear and formal dress for weddings and in the evening. Some 60 people enjoyed the evening. Hair was done by Riccio and make-up by Beauty Box, both of Saffron Walden.
This is the shop’s third annual charity show, with previous events raising money for the St Clare Hospice in Hastingwood.
The shop’s owner Karen Wolff-Evans said: “It was a fun evening with a lovely atmosphere.”
Claire Durrant, ambassador for Home-Start said: “We are absolutely delighted. It was a superbly organised show and a lovely occasion. We are very pleased that so much was raised and are so grateful to Fanny and Frank and to the Friends of Homestart who put in a lot of work.”
