A daughter is appealing to people to tweet Gary Barlow to get him to come to Saffron Walden and sing for her mum at her 50th birthday party in November.

Emily Forster, 21, of Limefields, Saffron Walden, says her mum is a big fan of the singer, and after he announced on Twitter that he would be performing at people’s “milestone” birthdays in 2016, she knew she had to act.

The Take That frontman and solo artist has appeared at fans’ weddings in the past and will do it again this year - if they get enough support via the social media platform.

Emily, who lives with her mum and younger brother Jack, 18, said: “Mum turns 50 on November 5, and we have a big party planned. When I saw Gary was wanting to perform at people’s birthday parties I knew it would make her so, so, so happy. She is a huge fan.”

“Jack is also helping to get the word out.” added Emily.

Helen, 49, has worked in the NHS for 30 years as a nurse and has lived in Saffron for most of her life. She is a staff nurse at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, in Harlow, where she has worked for 16 years.

Emily said: “She’s done so much for everyone and has never asked for anything in return. She is an amazing woman and deserves ‘A Million Love Songs’.

“All I ask is for anyone with a twitter account to please just send one one tweet – it would make my mum’s dream come true. Let’s get Gary to Saffron Walden.”
