At Long Road Sixth Form College in Cambridge, 97.3 per cent of students achieved grades A* to E and 68 per cent got A* to C.
The college has said this is almost four per cent higher than last year and six per cent higher than in 2013 and 2014.
A statement said: “This is an outstanding attainment for the college, and the year on year increases in high grade achievement show that the college is going from strength to strength.”
High percentages of students taking applied courses achieved distinctions: 100 per cent of those taking applied physics and sports courses, and 94 per cent on applied science courses and over 80 per cent studying media health and social care.
The college was shortlisted for the Times Educational Supplement Sixth Form College of the year for 2016.
