Homes in Henham and Elsenham were without electricity for an hour and 50 minutes today (Wednesday).
The electricity supply went off at 11.40am and was back on at 1.30pm.
A spokesman for UK Power Networks said: “Our engineers had to isolate supplies to 637 customers in Elsenham and Henham at 11.40am today (Wednesday) after a kite which was being used to scare birds became entangled in an overhead power line.
“Power was restored at 1.30pm once the kite had been safely removed.”
