A man in his 20s has been left in a critical condition following a two vehicle accident in Saffron Walden last night (September 3).
Essex County Fire and Rescue officers and paramedics from the East of England Ambulance Service attended the scene in Rowntree Way at 10.05pm, and firefighters released two people from their vehicles using specialist cutting equipment.
The man was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge with a suspected fractured pelvis and is in a critical condition.
A woman, in her 40s, was also taken to Addenbrooke’s having suffered injuries to her ankle and is in a serious but stable condition.
