Record numbers flocked to see this year’s spectacular fireworks display on Saffron Walden Common.
An estimated 10,000 people turned out for the free event held on Saturday evening, which was organised by Saffron Walden Round Table. The event included food stalls and a funfair running alongside the stunning fireworks display and giant bonfire.
Adrian Green, chairman of the Saffron Walden Round Table, said: “We are still counting the generous donations from the night that will go to benefiting our community.
“We would like to thank all our sponsors and the volunteers that supported the event, as well as you the community for turning up and making the night a great success.”
