ROYAL tea parties, Jubilee biscuits and commemorative medals were all part of the celebrations as schools across the Reporter area marked the 60th anniversary of the Queen’s ascension to the throne.
Many schoolchildren dressed in red, white and blue – some with Union Jack’s spray painted in their hair – and enjoyed a mixture of street parties and picnics to recognise the Diamond Jubilee.
