SAFFRON Walden Skate Group is putting on a Skate Jam this coming Sunday, from noon until 9pm.
This year there is an Olympic theme to the annual event as the group has received some funding from the Rural Community Council of Essex as part of their Essex Legacy Open Weekend 2011.
A spokesman for the group said: “The open weekend marks a year until the start of the Olympic Games and the group has have been given Olympic bunting and stickers to publicise the event. So come along and enjoy the fun, lots of great skating, blading and BMXing with a barbecue and music.”
Pro-gression Skate School will be there with booking forms for lessons and lots of cool skate gear to buy.
It will be a great day out for all ages and the proceeds will go towards the maintenance of the One Minet Skatepark.
