A FIRST ever fashion show to raise funds towards the running of Saffron Walden Carnival 2011 has been branded a success.
The event took place in the town hall and showcased a huge range of clothes and shoes from local businesses including Grey Palmers, Jonny and Jenny Briggs, Blue, Sassini, Handpicked & Gorgeous, Evelyn Charles, Better than Chocolate, Evie, Brooks Dress Agency, Modish and Petrus.
Among the 75 models who took to the catwalk were Carnival Queen Sienna Halliburton and her two attendants, Kerry Maskell and Jade Law, as they completed the first of their many official engagements.
A spokesman for the Round Table, the carnival organisers, said: “The night was an amazing success with every seat in the house taken and contributing 1,000 towards to total carnival fund.
“We would like to thank all participants for their time and effort and also a special thank you to Riccio’s and Lizzie’s Health & Beauty for making all the models look a million dollars, as well as a huge thank you to Petra of Petrus for co-ordinating the event along with Claire Croft of The Ladies Circle.”
