A LEVEL students who raised over �2300 at a black-tie dinner for a charity which helps injured servicemen have handed the money over to Carver Barracks this week.
As part of their course the Leisure Studies students organised the event in November, during which guests could meet soldiers from the barracks and listen to two key note speakers.
The students raised money by selling tickets and holding a raffle and an auction with the proceeds going to the barracks’ Injured Soldiers Fund.
Major Al Budinger accepted the cheque on Monday after giving an assembly to sixth form students on the types of work the soldiers at Carver Barracks carry out.
The money raised will go towards helping soldiers injured in Afghanistan and their families at the barracks.
