Refurbishment work has been completed at Fairycroft House in Saffron Walden to create a larger space for community use.
Fairycroft House owner Tim Atkinson said: "A great deal of construction work has been going on, undertaken by Amherst Homes, and we have finally had the dividing wall in the main hall removed to create a much larger space.
"Fairycroft House cannot thank the wonderful team at Amherst enough for their exceptional work and care during the works.
"The Amherst team discovered the bell system that was used to call the servants during the period that Fairycroft was a residential house, as well as various good luck charms that were hidden in the chimney and these will eventually be displayed at Fairycroft House."
