Aldi in Saffron Walden is unveiling a fresh new look as it reopens to customers on Thursday following renovations.

The transformation is part of Aldi's £600 million investment into improving its stores and services across the UK.

In Saffron Walden, the store has a more customer-focused layout, allowing for products to be found more easily.

The new-look store offers increased space for products including meat and fish, health and beauty products and more.

There is also a new and improved Food to Go section, offering a choice of fresh salads, sandwiches and sushi.

The format has been created to make shopping easier for customers, with clearer signs and fresh bread and cakes moved to the last aisle to prevent them getting crushed under customers' shopping.

Saffron Walden customers can also take a walk down the 'Aisle of Aldi', where they will find 'specialbuys' - which are available every Thursday and Sunday.

Store manager Mel Mansfield said: "The store is looking fantastic, and we can’t wait to welcome our loyal customers back so they can see it for themselves.

"We’re committed to making sure that the shopping experience each customer enjoys in our stores is on a par with the products and service they’re used to."
