A grant of £4,000 has been awarded to Saffron Walden Town Council to provide food and children's clothing for people in need.
The Food Support and Winter Warmth essentials fund, administered by Essex County Council, will be split two ways - with £3,000 going to Uttlesford Foodbank and £1,000 donated to Uttlesford Children's Clothing Bank.
A spokesperson for Uttlesford Children's Clothing Bank said: "We are very grateful to Saffron Walden Town Council for securing this funding, which will enable us to provide warm winter clothing to many children across the Uttlesford district."

Sophie Durlacher, of Uttlesford Foodbank, said: "This money will help us source extra food for our clients, and we are very grateful to SWTC for securing the funding."
