People living in Saffron Walden can have their say about issues impacting the town at the annual parish meeting.

The Saffron Walden annual parish of electors meeting will be held in the town hall at 7.30pm on Tuesday, March 14.

Entry to the town hall will be via the main front doors off the Market Square.

Anyone who lives in Saffron Walden who has a question for the town council is welcome to attend.

Electors who have questions or proposals for discussion at the meeting are requested to submit them in writing to the offices of Saffron Walden Town Council, The Town Hall, Market Street, Saffron Walden, CB10 1HZ.

You can also submit questions via email to enquiries@saffronwalden.gov.uk, by no later than midday on Wednesday, March 8.

Submitting questions in advance allows for a fully informed response to be provided at the meeting, but questions may still be taken from the floor at the meeting, and a response to those may be supplied at a later date - allowing the council opportunity to provide an informed response.

The meeting is open to everybody in Saffron Walden, and is an opportunity for residents to meet their councillors and ask them questions. People are invited to ask any questions they like, providing they are relevant to the activities of Saffron Walden Town Council.

The town council is responsible for many services - including open spaces, the market, allotments, the cemetery, play areas, and public buildings such as the town hall and Golden Acre Community Centre.

Community groups in Saffron Walden who have benefitted from either funding, support or both from the town council will also prepare presentations for the meeting.

In addition to the annual town meeting, the town council also provides the opportunity for questions to be posed at every monthly council and committee meeting.

For details of these go to www.saffronwalden.gov.uk.

Other events coming up which have been organised by Saffron Walden Town Council include the town's first vintage, antiques and makers market on the Common on Saturday, May 13.
