The 1824 (Saffron Walden) Squadron of the RAF Air Cadets hosted a weekend adventure training camp over Easter.

Thirty-one cadets from Essex Wing RAF Air Cadets, participated in activities including climbing, archery, paddling, leadership exercises and more.

This was the first camp of its kind to be held since before the pandemic.

One cadet said: "This weekend was a great experience.

"I learnt so much about myself and others, and the activities allowed me to challenge myself in ways that I didn’t think possible.

"The instructors were extremely knowledgeable and made the whole experience a lot of fun."

The Squadron is holding an open evening at 8pm on Monday, April 17 at Herbert's Farm Playing Fied, Debden Road, Saffron Walden.
