Young players at Elsenham Youth Football Club are celebrating after receiving a grant to subsidise fees and help fund new equipment.
The under 5/6 team was awarded the £300 grant from UK Power Networks, after the company's lead operational engineer Josh Colson applied to support his son Zac and his teammates.
Josh said: "I’m absolutely delighted to win the award, as are the other parents, who are very impressed that UK Power Networks does this.

"It will mean a lot to the football club and the children within our community who are just starting their journey in sport."
The grant covers a high percentage of the club's yearly fundraising, and will support parents who could not otherwise afford for their children to join.
