Family business Saffron Walden Motors took passersby on a journey back in time with a display of vintage vehicles.
The car showroom in Saffron Walden High Street, which has been largely unchanged for several years, is displaying a selection of Morris Minors.
Local Uttlesford Morris Minor owners, known as UMMOS, brought cars dating from 1954 to 1968 to herald the upcoming Saffron Walden Motor Show on the Common on Sunday, August 13.
The cars are all much-loved by their current owners, who have taken time and trouble to bring them back to life - with some being rebuilt from the ground up.
The Morris Minor was designed by Alec Issigonis, and was the first British car to have one million models made.
They made their debut at the 1948 Earl's Court Motor Show, and finally ceased production in 1971.
One of the cars on display, an Almond Green 1968 Traveller - often called a 'Woody' - is Gulliver, owned by David Mitchell.
The car was previously described as "a pile of rust found rotting in a field", and was painstakingly rebuilt by David's father, the late Ray Mitchell, going on to win many local and national prizes.
Another car featured is a Clarendon Grey 1954 Convertible, nicknamed 'Alice' and owned by Colin Canter, which took part in the Diamond Jubilee celebrations at the Mall.
Three of the cars have an ER registration mark - RER, SER and WER.
These were all supplied by the nearest Morris dealer to Saffron Walden, King and Harper in Cambridge, and have remained in and around the district all their lives.

Jon Morgan, the UMMOS club branch secretary, owns RER 919 (known as 'Neddy'), a Clarendon Grey 1957 four-door Saloon.
He bought the car for £200 in Littlebury in 1978, before he had passed his driving test, and has owned it for the last 45 years.
Each car is displayed alongside its potted history, alongside some restored petrol pumps.
Jon Morgan said: "The move into the showroom went well and a huge thanks to Charles, of Saffron Walden Motors.
"Thanks to all the owners who brought their cars along."
