Saffron Walden welcomed a delegation from their twin town of Bad Wildungen in Germany.
The visitors were welcomed with a civic reception at the council chamber on Friday, August 11.
Mayor of Saffron Walden Cllr Heather Asker said: "After a long period of enforced absence due to covid, it was a huge pleasure to welcome our counterparts from our twin town of Bad Wildungen.
"We had much to discuss and collectively have agreed to ensure that we involve more groups from both towns to ensure the future development of our relationship.
"This will include some of our young musicians who our guests met and were entertained by at Fairycroft House."
