Stolen scooters were recovered in Saffron Walden and speeders were ticketed in Hatfield Heath and Takeley as part of an Essex Police operation.

While carrying out proactive work in Saffron Walden today (Tuesday, October 24), officers recovered two stolen scooters in Little Walden Road following information received by members of the public.

One scooter is believed to have been stolen from Saffron Walden, while police are still running identification checks on the other.

Elsewhere, PCSOs were joined by Roads Enforcement to carry out speed checks in the Hatfield Heath and Takeley areas, which saw seven tickets issued across the two sites in total.

"And we know the impact having your vehicle stolen can have so, acting on information from the public, we’ve responded to recover two mopeds.

"We’re now working to return them to their rightful owners."
