A man has been jailed for two years after pleading guilty to 26 counts of arson in Saffron Walden.
Andrew Thorne, 26, of Icknield Rise, Great Chesterford, appeared at Chelmsford Crown Court on November 16.
Officers from Uttlesford Community Team launched an investigation after multiple reports of deliberate fires being started between February 2022 and May 2023.
The fires were at locations including wheelie bins, dog waste bins and bus shelters across Saffron Walden.
Thorne was arrested on Saturday, May 27 on suspicion of multiple counts of arson, and charged soon after.
After pleading guilty, he was sentenced to two years in prison at St Albans Crown Court.
