Madness will take to the stage for a 'huge outdoor show' at Audley End as part of the 2024 Heritage Live Concert series.

The group will bring their 'C'est La Vie' tour to the grounds of Audley End House and Gardens in Saffron Walden on Friday, August 2.

They will perform hits from their back catalogue alongside songs from their new album Theatre of the Absurd Presents C'est La Vie - their first studio album to top the UK Album Charts.

Since they emerged from Camden Town in the 1970s, Madness have become one of the most celebrated British bands of all time, with hits including 'One Step Beyond', 'Baggy Trousers', 'House of Fun', 'Our House' and more.

In 2000 Madness received an Ivor Novello Award for Outstanding Song Collection.

Tickets are available now from axs.com/heritagelive. VIP packages are also available.

Gates open at 3pm, and the event will end at 10.30pm.

Madness will be joined by special guests The Lightning Seeds and the Old Time Sailors.

Opening the show, The Old Time Sailors will take audiences back to the 19th century with immersive seafaring music performed with traditional instruments.

The other special guests, The Lightning Seeds, were created by writer, singer, guitarist and producer Ian Broudie.

Perhaps best known for their iconic single '3 Lions' for the England football team, the group will celebrate their 35th anniversary in 2024.

Ian, as Lightning Seeds, released debut album Cloudcuckooland in 1989, followed by second album Sense and then Jollification in 1994 - the latter of which has sold nearly a million copies.

Promoter Giles Cooper said: "2024 is set to be another vintage year for Heritage Live at Audley End.
