Garden waste collections in Uttlesford will resume next week following a scheduled break for the festive period.

Collections are suspended for four weeks over Christmas and New Year, but Uttlesford District Council are delaying the restart by a week.

This is due to a higher than anticipated volume of household recycling left out over the Christmas break, so the council is putting all additional capacity into helping the catch-up of recycling collections that were missed last week.

Garden waste collection rounds will restart in the south area from Tuesday, January 16.

The first north area collection will be the following week, from Tuesday, January 23 - a week later than planned. Additional side waste will be accepted by the crews on this round.
