The Rotary Club of Saffron Walden is looking for charities and organisations to benefit from their annual Christmas collection.
Beneficiaries will be chosen before the charity starts the street collections which will be held in the town during December.
Applications need to demonstrate how urgent and important any funding would be, and how it would benefit Uttlesford-based residents.
Details and an application form are available online at https://rotary-sw.org/our-news.
The closing date for applications is Friday, November 1.
Project leader Malcolm Head said: "The application form is simple to complete and will assist the selection committee in their choice of organisations and charities to benefit.
"We do not know how much we will raise but are hopeful that we will match levels as in previous years of about £8,000 we raised last year thanks to the generosity of local people."

The annual Rotary Christmas collection has been held since 1955 and has raised well over £175,000 for local charities.
This year's collection has already secured support from Saffron Walden retailers, and on some of the collection days in December Rotary members will be accompanied by handheld bell-ringers The Tinkerbells.
Rotary is part of an international organisation with more than 35,000 clubs worldwide.
