The M11 northbound between Bishop’s Stortford and Saffron Walden (junctions 8 and 9) has been closed this afternoon (Wednesday, November 20) due to a road traffic accident.
Firefighters were called to the scene just after mid day and it is known that one person is trapped in a vehicle. They are currently working to free the person who is believed to be male.
Traffic is already queuing and police are warning that delays to journeys are already likely to be more than 80 minutes.
