A*s and As made up a staggering 41 per cent of all A-level grades achieved this morning at Saffron Walden County High School (August 18).
Every single student receiving their results today also passed A* - E.
Caroline Derbyshire, headteacher of the school, said: “It is particularly pleasing to recognise that the results will secure first choice university places for the vast majority of our students and that they reflect the conscientious approach that the year group took to their studies and the excellent teaching and pastoral support they received from the Sixth Form team at the school.”
Ms Derbyshire is “thrilled” that the results exceeded those of last year.
