Father Christmas will be passing through Dunmow on Saturday, just in time for the Christmas lights to be switched on.

This year the lights will be turned on at 6pm in Dunmow High Street by Santa, with a heap of festive activities starting from 3pm in Dunmow High Street.

Children can play on the bouncy castle and have a go on tea cup rides as well as have their face painted. Adults can visit the prosecco stall, peruse the craft and refreshment stands and enjoy live entertainment.

The day is organised by the Great Dunmow Town Team and is financially supported by local businesses and the council.

There will be donation buckets, with money raised going towards next year’s event.

Tickets to visit Father Christmas’ grotto and meet the man himself are sold out but there maybe slots available on the day.
