AMBULANCE crews are asking the public to take care when travelling to and from schools and work this afternoon (Tuesday December 11).
The East of England Ambulance Service has received a spate of road traffic collisions earlier this morning and are warning motorist to take care on the roads.
Spokesman Gary Sanderson said: “Unfortunately we have attended several road traffic collisions today due to the fog and icy conditions. The temperature is already below freezing and with fog falling fast it will make the visibility for driving very difficult.
“We are urging drivers to allow plenty of time for travelling and watch your speed.”
He added: “Simple tips such as allow plenty of time for braking, drive safely and pay attention for motorcyclists and pedestrians. This will help you arrive at your destination safely.”
