Bands performing on an alter? A pint in a church? It could only mean one thing... Music At The Crossroads is back

On Saturday, March 1 Radwinter Church will once again become an all in one pop-up village pub and live music venue, with the popular Cambridge folk band The Willows taking the stage supported by Anna Scott.

Radwinter Music at the Crossroads founder Colin Taylor said: “We are delighted to have been able to book such a talented band and are encouraging people to get their tickets early, as this could be a sell-out event.”

The Willows’ debut album Beneath Our Humble Soil has received enthusiastic reviews, including four and a half stars from Maverick Magazine.

Their musical style is pulled from both American and UK traditions. They have a uniquely refreshing sound that continues to captivate and inspire audiences wherever they go, and last summer they performed at the Cambridge Folk Festival to a rapturous welcome.

Last year the band interrupted their tour to play live in the Radio 2 studio on the Bob Harris show.

The Willows will have strong support in Anna Scott who is an experimental cellist, vocalist, composer and songwriter.

She is part of the folk rock band Mozzy Green and has developed a solo career as a performer and session musician, collaborating with a wide range of solo artists and bands.

Her composition work includes commissions for the BBC, contemporary dance theatre and music for a theatrical production of The Odyssey.

As usual there will be a licensed bar serving real ale.
