A woman has today been charged with attempted murder and firearms offences following an incident in Barnston, near Dunmow on Sunday and will appear in court later today (Tuesday).
Police officers were called to an incident in Watts Close, Barnston near Dunmow around 11.10pm on Sunday evening (January 5) following reports of a domestic dispute and a firearm being discharged. No one was injured in the incident.
Elaine Freeman, aged 55, from Watts Close, Barnston has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and will appear before Magistrates in Colchester this afternoon.
