BBC broadcaster to join Palm Sunday service in Saffron Walden

WRITER and broadcaster Christina Rees will be celebrating Palm Sunday with the congregation at Abbey Lane United Reformed Church in Saffron Walden on Sunday.

Ms Rees is a member of the Church of England General Synod and is chairman of Watch (Women and the Church), an organisation set up to support and promote the ordination of woman priests.

She also contributes to the 'Credo' column in The Times, appears in Radio 4's 'Thought for the Day' slot and 'Prayer for the Day', as well as other radio and television programmes.

The service starts at 10.30am and people are invited to attend.
