Body found in search for missing Dunmow man

Police searching for a man missing from his home in Dunmow found a body in Newport this afternoon (Tuesday).
The search has been suspended until formal identification of a man, found near Bury Water Lane, has been confirmed.
Matthew Vernon, 23, of Knights Way, was reported missing after he was last seen at a party on Bury Water Lane, on Saturday.
Police enquiries are continuing.
