FOUR boys from west Essex have been reprimanded by police after throwing water balloons onto a dual carriageway at Stansted Airport which had endangered the lives of passing motorists.
Officers had been contacted shortly after 6.30pm on Tuesday (May 28) following reports from motorists that several youngsters were throwing objects off a bridge onto the A120.
Two boys from the Bishop’s Stortford area, aged 10 and 11, and two boys from Harlow, aged 11 and 13, were given police reprimands after admitting their actions had endangered motorists’ lives and could have caused a collision.
Police believe this to have been an isolated incident at the start of the school half-term holidays.
