MEMBERS of the Saffron Walden Initiative spent a busy couple of hours on Sunday planting hundreds of daffodils along Little Walden Road.
Many residents expressed their appreciation of the idea. Initiative chairman Peter Riding said: “So many people enjoy the daffodils along Windmill Hill and the top of the Common and we thought it would be good to extend the cheer to another part of the town.”
The bulbs are a gift from the Initiative, and there are a few hundred more still to be planted. A
nyone who would like to help is invited to contact Barbara Wilcox on barbarawilcox@ntlworld.com or 01799 502962.
