Nearly £4,000 worth of jewellery, watches and cash were stolen from a house in Stansted Mountfitchet last week.
The break-in happened sometime between 4.10pm and 7.50pm on Monday, November 10 at a property in St Johns Crescent. A distinctive pillowcase (pictured) was one of the items stolen.
Police have asked anyone who has seen the pillowcase, been offered any jewellery items for sale or witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the area to contact Dc Christine Rhodes at Braintree CID on Essex Police 101.
People can also give information to the independent crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or through their Anonymous Online Form at crimestoppers-uk.org.
