UTTLESFORD Citizens Advice Bureau has this week announced that actor Steve McGann will join the board as a charity supporter.
Mr McGann, who is a long-term resident of Saffron Walden, said: “I’m delighted to be supporting the local Citizens Advice Bureau. I’ve heard so many stories of how they’ve helped people out of tricky situations.
“I hope that I can help raise awareness of this vital free service.”
Mr McGann, who plays Dr Patrick Turner in hit BBC period drama Call the Midwife, will be attending the CAB’s Family Picnic on Saturday (June 30) at Ashdon Hall.
Some tickets are still available from Uttlesford CAB offices, Saffron Walden Tourist Information Centre or by e-mail at fundraiser@uttlesfordcab.org.uk
