POLICE are appealing for information after a cannabis factory was discovered in Saffron Walden on Monday November 16.
Police acting on information attended the site of a derelict house in Thaxted Road and found cannabis growing in a container and in two rooms on the first floor of the house.
They removed 278 plants, a sample of which have been sent away to be tested, and various hydroponic equipment.
All remaining plants have been destroyed.

Three men have been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the production of cannabis. They are a 27-year-old man from Braintree, a 46-year-old man from Buntingford in Hertfordshire and a 28-year-old man from Much Haddam in Hertfordshire. They have been released on police bail pending further enquiries to March 16, 2010.
