A CAR service in Saffron Walden is available to help elderly and vulnerable people travel to medical appointments in the town.
Saffron Walden Social Car Service is looking for more people to make use of their vehicles to get to places such as Saffron Walden Community Hospital, doctors practices and dental surgeries.
Committee member John Harries said: “At the moment we have about 30 or 40 people that use the service, but we think there are lots more people in the town who could benefit but don’t know we exist.
“We’ll travel within a five-mile radius of Saffron Walden and we charge a minimum contribution of 2. Unfortunately we are unable to take wheelchairs.”
