TAKELEY Social Club was broken into between August 27-29 and £1,200 in cash stolen.
Thieves forced the lock and took cash from the floats and safes inside. Damage caused to the Brewers End facility was £800.
Takeley Football Club’s clubhouse was also broken into, causing £200 damage, but nothing was taken. Police have issued a warning to all village halls and sports clubs to remain vigilant and make sure their premises are secure.
