EVEN though we are only just getting over the winter and starting to enjoy the spring weather, the Chelmsford Civic Theatre is already thinking about next Christmas and in particular their exciting new pantomime Aladdin.
In June, the auditions to find the juvenile cast will take place at the town's west end theatre, and children and young people who want to take part are encouraged to apply now.
Pantomime producers are looking for outstandingly talented dancers, both girls and boys to join the professional cast members on stage this December for what is set to be another magical family panto.
Entrants should be between 11 and 19 years and have extremely strong dance ability and exceptional stage presence. Singing and drama experience is useful but not essential.
To audition, young people need to request an information pack by calling the Box Office on 01245 606505 or by logging on to www.chelmsford.gov.uk/theatres and downloading the pack from the web site.
Information packs can also be collected from the theatre's Box Office on Fairfield Road.
Auditions will be held in the Civic Theatre on Saturday June 12 from 10am to 1.30pm, closing dates for receipt of application forms is May 28.
