IT was Bring a Pet to School Week for the reception class at Friends' Junior School.

The class has been studying animals and learning about pet care and many pets were brought in to visit the children, including cats, dogs and hamsters.

But the highlight was a visit from Alice Wilmott's pet, Choccy the pony. The children learned how to care for a pony and were given the chance to groom and feed him. They enjoyed an exciting afternoon with Choccy, an experience outside the classroom which added value and motivation to the speaking and listenening tasks on their current topic.
