A CHRISTMAS fair celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee will take place at St Mary’s Church in Saffron Walden on December 1. A wide variety of stalls including handicrafts and homemade produce, gifts and bric-a-brac will be available to visitors, as well as a grand draw, tombola and children’s attractions. Witness the Christmas story from 10am, music by St Mary’s organist and brass band, carol singing and refreshments.

THE Business Studio will be hosting a presentation and networking evening on how to get the most out of eCommerce business.

Whether you are already selling online, or thinking of starting, the talk will be exploring the current state of the online market, as well as website usability and multi-platform selling

The event is presented by Sam Phillips, who has been selling online internationally for over 10 years and runs his own eCommerce fulfilment businesses.

CHILDREN can visit Santa’s Grotto at Elsenham Village Hall on Saturday December 1, from 2.30pm.

There will be a gift for all who visit Santa, as well as a children’s tombola, fun games and activities, craft and gift stalls, teas, and a children’s Christmas card colouring

CAMBRIDGE Colleges and their arts will be the theme of the next Great Chesterford & District Gardening Society meeting.

Rodney Tibbs is the guest speaker at the meeting on December 5 in the Chapel, Carmel Street, at 8pm. New members and visitors welcome.

ABINGTON Jeremiahs Scout group will be holding a jumble sale on Saturday, from 2- 4pm, at Hildersham Village Hall.

DECK the halls... a suitable topic for the Chesterfords Ickleton & Hinxton WI meeting next Wednesday (November 21). The meeting starts at 7.45pm in The Chapel, Carmel Street, Great Chesterford. New Members and visitors welcome.

AN illustrated talk, entitled ‘A Fair Isle Season’ will be given by an accomplished photographer and wildlife tour leader.

The talk, by Rebbeca Nason, will focus on her time as assistant warden on Fair Isle and her time leading tours for the Travelling Naturalist.

The meeting, hosted by the Cambridge RSPB – the most local group of the organistion – will be in the Wilkinson Room, St Johns Church, Hills Road, Cambridge on Wednesday starting at 7.30pm. There will be a �2 charge for non-members.

RADWINTER Friendship Group will be holding an autumn jumble sale in the village hall on Saturday, starting at 2pm. Good jumble, bric-a-brac, books, toys, tombole, raffle and refreshments available. Admission is free.
