TOP names from the world of classical music world will be at St Mary’s Church in Saffron Walden next week for a regular lunchtime concert.
On Wednesday July 27, from 1.10pm, the church will welcome Francis Knights and F�rdia Stone-Davis, from Fitzwilliam College Cambridge to perform a programme of Baroque Music on Spinet and Recorder
Stone-Davis holds a doctorate from the University of Cambridge and a Masters in music performance from Trinity College of Music, London. She is an accomplished and active performer of medieval, renaissance, baroque and contemporary recorder repertoire.
Knights studied music at London, Oxford and Nottingham universities, and trained as a harpsichordist under Robert Woolley and David Roblou. He is now editor of Early Music, and Fellow and Director of Music at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge.
As usual sandwiches will be on sale from 12.30pm. Profits go to church funds.
