Crash caused long delays on northbound M11 after crash

A crash on the M11 northbound between junctions 8 and 9 caused long delays on Saturday after a vehicle overturned.

Essex Police and the fire brigade were sent to the collision which happened around midday.

One lane was closed on the stretch between Stansted Airport and the A11 turn-off for Saffron Walden, but re-opened around 12.45pm.

Disruption lasted until around 2pm, with tailbacks reaching back as far as the A120/Stansted Airport junction northbound.
