BRIGHTLY coloured crosses from El Salvador were presented to children from St Mary's School in Saffron Walden during their assembly.
The wooden crosses, which show stories and parables from the bible and the life of Jesus, were a gift from St Mary's Parish Church in Saffron Walden.
The presentation was made last Wednesday by assistant curate at the church, Revd Anne Howson, who also spoke to the children about forgiveness and how the crosses will act as a reminder of God's love.
Headteacher Surge Dhanda said: "The children are delighted with the bright and colourful crosses and look forward to having them displayed in the school hall and in their classrooms.
